Introduction

TaraDhara ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our TaraDhara meditation app.

Information We Collect

TaraDhara stores meditation session data locally on your device. This includes meditation session duration, technique used, mood before and after sessions, and personal notes.

Health Connect (Android)

On Android, TaraDhara integrates with Health Connect to support its core meditation features. We request access to only the following data types, each tied directly to a feature in the app:

• Heart Rate (read & write) — displayed live during a meditation session (via camera-based heart-rate sensing or a connected wearable) and saved to Health Connect so it appears alongside your other heart-rate data.
• Heart Rate Variability (read) — used to show a stress/recovery insight after your practice, when this data is available from Health Connect.
• Exercise (read & write) — each completed meditation is logged to Health Connect as an exercise/mindfulness session, so it's reflected in your broader activity history.

TaraDhara does not request any other Health Connect data type (such as steps, sleep, blood pressure, weight, or body measurements) because they are not used by any feature in the app. Health data is only read or written with your explicit permission, granted through the Health Connect permission screen, and you can revoke this access at any time from Health Connect's app permissions settings. We do not sell or share your health data with third parties.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

TaraDhara shows occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your Android advertising ID), IP address, and general device information to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization from your Android device's Google Settings → Ads. Ad-free access is available to supporters.

In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

If you choose to make a purchase (e.g. to remove ads), the transaction is processed through Google Play Billing and managed via RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and a device-generated user ID to validate your entitlement; it does not receive your payment card details, which are handled entirely by Google Play.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your meditation and health data stays on your device (or Health Connect) and is not transmitted to our servers. Limited data is shared only with Google AdMob (for ads) and RevenueCat (for purchase processing), as described above.

Data Security

All data is stored locally on your device in secure app sandbox. We do not collect or transmit personal information.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can delete the app to remove all local data.
